Job Title: Professional Land Surveyor

  • CORE is a professional environmental consulting firm which performs the following services:
  • Site Characterization and Site Remediation
  • Environmental Due Diligence (Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments)
  • Environmental Permitting and Compliance Audits
  • Soil and Groundwater Remediation
  • Remediation System Design and Installation and Operation & Maintenance
  • In-plant Compliance Audit Services
  • Surveying

Oversee and perform surveying activities associated with the following tasks: Boundary surveying; Construction stakeouts; Elevation certifications; Courthouse research: business development.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide survey oversight and certification as a Licensed Professional Surveyor;
  • Lead survey crew(s);
  • Create site maps and deed plots in Carlson and AutoCAD software;
  • Use global positioning system (GPS) and electronic distance meters;
  • Prepare field notes documenting surveying;
  • Maintain equipment inventories;
  • Write work plans for various field activities;
  • Prepare and implement field activity work scopes;
Education and Experience:

  • West Virginia Professional Land Surveying certification. Those that qualify to be tested for certification will also be considered.
  • 40 hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER). Training will be provided, if necessary
  • Desired Education: 2 or 4-year science degree in Surveying Field preferred

Work Environment:

Must be able to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions. Will also be required to work in an office environment when not in the field.

Some travel and overnight stays may be required.

Must have valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
